Wind Damage Roof Repair

Strong winds work on a roof from the edges and ridge inward. They lift tabs until the sealant breaks, crease shingles and strip off ridge caps, and once one section goes, the rest is easier for the next gust to catch.

We repair wind-damaged roofs across Middle Tennessee, replacing missing and creased shingles, re-sealing lifted tabs, repairing flashing and securing loose edge metal. Around Nashville, where straight-line winds and downed limbs are common, we also check the decking and ridge for hidden damage.

FAQ

Common questions about wind damage

Can a roof with wind damage be repaired?

Yes, if the damage is limited and the rest of the roof is sound. Widespread damage may mean replacement.

Why do shingles blow off even on newer roofs?

Poor sealing, improper nailing and age can all let shingles lift. We check how the roof was installed.

Are higher wind-rated shingles available?

Yes. Many architectural shingles have higher wind ratings when installed to the manufacturer's high-wind instructions.
