Asphalt Shingle Roofing

Asphalt shingles cover most of the homes in Tennessee, and for good reason. They suit a wide range of budgets and styles, they are quick to install and repairs are straightforward when they are needed.

We install asphalt shingle roofs on homes across Middle Tennessee, from simple ranches to steep multi-gable houses in Nashville. The result depends on the details: nailing in the right place, underlayment that matches the roof, flashing that is replaced and not reused, and ventilation that lets the roof breathe.

FAQ

Common questions about asphalt shingles

What is the difference between three-tab and architectural shingles?

Three-tab shingles are flat and thinner. Architectural shingles are thicker and layered, with more depth and generally better wind ratings.

Can new shingles go over old ones?

Sometimes, but a tear-off lets us inspect and repair the deck and is usually the better choice.

What colors are available?

Most manufacturers offer a range from light gray to deep black plus browns and blends. We bring samples so you can see them against your home.
