Flat Roof Installation

A flat roof is not flat. It has a slight slope that moves water to drains, scuppers or edges, and every seam, wall and penetration is a place where water can stand or enter if the detail is wrong.

We install flat and low-slope roofs on commercial buildings and residential additions across Middle Tennessee. In Nashville, many older buildings have flat sections that pond water, and we correct the drainage with tapered insulation and new drains as part of the roof.

FAQ

Common questions about flat roof installation

Why does my flat roof pond water?

Poor slope, sagging decks and blocked drains cause ponding. Tapered insulation can fix it.

How long do flat roofs last?

Lifespan depends on the material, the installation and maintenance. We explain the options for your building.

Can a flat roof be installed over an old one?

Sometimes, but we test for trapped moisture first. A tear-off may be the safer choice.
