Chimney Flashing & Repair

A chimney is a wall sticking out of your roof, and water that runs down the roof has to go around it. If the flashing is old, the mortar is cracked or there is no cricket behind it, that water finds a way in.

We repair and rebuild chimney flashing across Middle Tennessee, including counter flashing cut into the mortar, a cricket behind wide chimneys and new caps. For Nashville homes with brick chimneys, we coordinate with masons when the brick or crown also needs work.

FAQ

Common questions about chimney flashing

Why does my chimney leak when it rains?

The most common causes are failed flashing, cracked mortar and a missing cricket.

Do you repair the brick and crown too?

We handle roof-side work and coordinate with a mason when masonry repairs are needed.

Can a cricket be added later?

Yes. A cricket can be built into an existing roof along with new flashing.
